COVID - 19

Update of 23 January 2022

National protocol published by the French government on 18/11/2021, updated on 23/01/2022 and applicable on ski lifts, for the winter season 2021/2022.

Mask and distancing

Wearing a mask is compulsory from the age of 6 in all ski lifts and in the waiting lines. Masks are recommended for children aged 6 to 11. Only surface lifts and conveyor belts may be exempted from wearing masks if they are used by only one user at a time.

Skiers are required to wear a surgical mask or a category 1 fabric mask (AFNOR SPEC S76-001 certification).

Concerning neck gaiters, only those that are filtering and certified will be allowed as an alternative to masks. Very practical for skiing and adapted to this protocol, approved neck gaiters can be put on and taken off in a few seconds. Approved necklaces in the colours of the Morzine ski area are available at the lift pass office for €10.

Skiers must respect distances between people or groups of people travelling together in the waiting lines.

Protective measures must be applied throughout the ski area. You will have hand sanitizer available at relevant locations.

Wearing a mask is not required while skiing.

Application of the Vaccination Pass

As of 24 January 2022, the vaccination pass will be obligatory to access the ski lifts from the age of 16, in addition to wearing a mask.

The vaccination pass is acquired either by a complete vaccination programme or by a certificate of recovery from the Covid, more than 11 days and less than 6 months old.

Those aged between 12 and 15 years (inclusive) will need a simple health pass. This is acquired in the same way as the vaccine pass or by a negative test less than 24 hours old (PCR, antigenic, or self-test supervised by a health professional under the conditions laid down by decree).

The Health Pass will be controlled by QR-code using the Tous Anti Covid Verif*application. The protocol provides for controls on people in ski lift sales offices, ski classes, and at the start of ski lifts.

* The application recognizes QR-Codes issued in the European Union. Other people whose QR-code is not directly recognized by the application can go to French pharmacies to have their French Health Pass validated as long as they have been vaccinated with vaccines recognized by the EU.
