Workshop: Observing Mountain Insects

Workshop: Observing Mountain Insects (2025 season)
Many insects inhabit mountain pastures. They contribute to all natural ecosystems. Maintaining their biodiversity is a real challenge. They are found in the soil, on plants, in the air, and in water.

The main groups of insects that can be observed:
– their distribution, their seasonality,
– various emblematic species
– their characteristics

Field observation:

– knowing what you can and want to observe: species potentially observable during the planned outing during the workshop
– understanding the appearance of the insects you expect to observe as well as their lifestyle (feeding habits, times and places of outings, habitat, etc.)

Creative workshop:

– creating an “insect” from clay and natural elements (plants, bark, etc.) with which the child will take home

In the classroom and then in the field, this approach will allow you to consider the nature around you in a different way and to understand what biodiversity is

This workshop gives you the right to visit the mini-farm.
