What is a "Hands Free" card ?

The "Hands Free" lift pass is a smart media card, of credit card size with a high-performance chip, it gives you access to the ski lifts with greater comfort and speed thanks to the chip which can be read remotely, whilst still in your pocket and automatically activates the turnstile. Be careful, the card cannot be kept next to a mobile phone, credit card or other "hands free" lift pass.


The "Hands Free" lift pass is 3.00 €, which is not refundable but may be topped up over several years to accumulate bonus points.

What is a WTP number ?

The WTP number is a unique individual code that is listed at the bottom of your "hands free" lift pass.  If the number is not legable, come and see us at the ticket office.

It consists of a series of 8 characters-3 characters-3 characters.

Please note there is never the letter "O" only the number "0".

Please note you do not enter "WTP" just the code that follows.

Can I top up my "Handsfree" lift pass I bought at the lift pass office ?

yes, all "Hands free" lift passes with a WTP number are rechargeable.

Can I buy insurance ?

Yes, "Snow Risk" insurance, is 3.00€ per person per day.

The duration of insurance needs to be the same duration as your lift pass.

Lift Pass 6 days = Insurance 6 days

What proof do we need if you want to get the family offer ?

For French families : a "livret de famille"

For Belgium families : a "composition de ménage"

For all other nationalities : passport for each person.

Do children under 5 years old need a ski pass?

YES ! Children under 5 years old now need a skipass to use all the chair lifts. The ski pass is free but the hands free is obligatory and costs €3.

Proof of age must be provided (passport).

When you buy this ski pass you may occur a 24 hour delay before it becomes active.

How are Bonus Points calculated ?

When purchasing the "Hands Free" lift pass you earn points, these points represent 10% of your purchases.

Bonus points can be accumulated over several years. When you have acquired 200 points, you are entitled to a free day skiing in the Portes du Soleil.

Accumulating points from multiple cards is not possible. Bonus points have no monetary value, only passes with 200 or more points are entitled to 1 free day in the Portes du Soleil.

1 free day is equivalent to 400€ worth of purchases.

You can redeem your accumulated points for your free day Portes du Soleil either when you buy online or at the lift ticket office.

Photos are required for lift passes of 8 days and over, including season passes.

When will my order arrive in the post?

Your ski passes will arrive 8 days before your first day of ski.
